Twoly is small on purpose. There's no feed, no strangers, no discovery — the only people who see you are the one to three you invited. That removes most of what these documents usually exist for.
What's left is the thing that actually matters in an app about two people: presence must be given, never taken. Everything below follows from that.
1. The one rule
Nobody has to be visible to you.
Twoly shows what a person chose to share. Every field has a switch. "Only my mood" exists so someone can stay present on a bad day without explaining themselves, and going quiet is always allowed.
If you are pressuring someone to turn a switch on, to stop using "only my mood", to keep distance sharing enabled, or to explain a gap in their status — you are misusing this app, and we will close your account for it. It doesn't matter that you're a couple. It especially doesn't matter that you're a couple.
2. Don't
- Coerce or monitor. Don't demand someone share location, battery or status. Don't use Twoly to check up on where a partner is, to time their sleep, or to catch them out.
- Harass, threaten or intimidate, in a note, a vow, a name, or by repeated sends.
- Impersonate anyone, or use someone else's name or likeness as your own.
- Post illegal content, or anything obscene, sexually explicit, or hateful toward people for who they are.
- Involve minors in any way. Twoly is 18+.
- Enter someone's private details as your partner sketch or in a note without their consent — including their phone number, address or workplace.
- Spam or automate. No bots, no bulk accounts, no scripted sends.
- Attack the service. No scraping, no bypassing rate limits or paid features, no probing other people's data.
3. If someone is doing this to you
You can disconnect at any time, without telling them. Settings → the person → remove. They stop receiving anything from you immediately. You do not need to explain, warn, or negotiate.
Then, if you want us to act:
Email xsparkllp@gmail.com with what happened. Include the person's name as it appears in your app and roughly when. You do not need evidence to make a report — tell us and we'll look.
We will:
- Acknowledge within 24 hours.
- Investigate and act within 15 days, usually much faster.
- Never tell the person who reported them.
- Never require you to face them, mediate, or "work it out" first.
If you would rather we simply delete your account and everything in it, say that instead and we will, immediately. Account & Data Deletion.
4. If you're being controlled by someone
We want to say this plainly, because location-sharing apps get used this way and pretending otherwise helps nobody.
If someone is using an app to control you, you don't owe them your presence. In Twoly: disconnecting is one tap, it does not notify them, and deleting your account is immediate and complete.
In India, 1091 (Women's Helpline) and 181 (Women's Helpline, all-India) are available, and 112 is the national emergency number. In the US, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233. Twoly is not a safety tool and cannot help in an emergency — please use these.
5. What we do about reports
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| First-time, minor (a rude note) | Warning, content removed |
| Harassment, coercion, monitoring | Account terminated |
| Illegal content, or anything involving a minor | Immediate termination, and reported to the authorities where the law requires it |
| Security attacks or scraping | Immediate termination |
We don't operate a strike system for abuse. Serious misuse ends the account the first time.
Terminated for something you think we got wrong? Reply to the email and a human will re-read it. We'd rather correct a mistake than defend one.
6. Reporting a security problem
Found a vulnerability? Email xsparkllp@gmail.com before disclosing it anywhere else. We will thank you, credit you if you want, and we will not threaten you with legal action for a good-faith report.
